Propylene glycol (PG), chemical formula C₃H₈O₂, CAS number 57-55-6, is a colorless, odorless, transparent liquid with a slightly sweet taste. It is highly hygroscopic, readily soluble, and has low toxicity; it is miscible with water, alcohols, and many organic solvents.
Packaged in 200L iron drums, custom packaging is available.

Product Application
Main Application Areas
1. Food Industry (Food-grade Propylene Glycol): Used as a humectant, solvent, emulsifier, and stabilizer in fragrances, flavorings, food colorings, baked goods, and antifreeze formulations, exhibiting good safety and food contact compatibility.
2. Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industries: Used as a drug solvent, ointment base, and antibacterial preservative carrier in pharmaceuticals; and as a humectant and lubricant in cosmetics, commonly found in lotions, creams, shampoos, and toothpastes. It is mild, non-irritating, and has good hygroscopic properties.
3. Daily Chemicals and Personal Care: Used in detergents, shaving foams, perfumes, and skincare products to improve product moisturizing and flowability.
4. Industrial Applications: Used as an antifreeze and refrigerant (similar to ethylene glycol, but with lower toxicity); as a solvent or plasticizer in resins, plastics, inks, coatings, and lubricants; used in specialty formulations such as smoke engine oils, hydraulic fluids, and cutting fluids.
5. Electronics and Environmental Protection: Used as an electronic coolant and heat transfer medium in environmentally friendly de-icing fluids and thermal energy storage systems.
