1. Chemical Intermediate (Main Application)
As a key raw material in nylon production, it can be synthesized into caprolactam and adipic acid, which are then used to make nylon 6 and nylon 66. These nylon materials are widely used in textiles (such as stockings and sportswear) and engineering plastics (such as automotive parts and electronic appliance casings).
2. Industrial Solvent
Due to its strong dissolving power and controllable evaporation rate, it is commonly used as a solvent for coatings (such as automotive and furniture paints) and inks (for printing and packaging). It is also used in applications such as metal degreasing (cleaning oil stains from parts) and leather processing (degreasing and finishing), helping to dissolve resins, grease, and other substances.
